The slide (7) has a base body (10) and a carrier body (11) for receiving machine components. The carrier body is linear movably supported on a cross beam in a spatial direction. Each guide bearing of the carrier body defines kinematic degree of freedom. The carrier body is elastically connected with the base body related to the five kinematic degrees of freedom. The carrier body is rigidly connected with the base body related to a moving direction. An additional bearing is connected with the base body, and produces a pre-stress for the guide bearings of the carrier body. An independent claim is also included for a coordinate measuring device with a machine slide.
