Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which allows a collector to be in good electric contact with the terminal edge of a very thin core member forming an electrode assembly, and shows high current collection quality. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a casing(1); an electrode assembly(4) formed by winding a strip-like cathode and anode and a separator interposed between both electrodes and received in the casing, wherein the cathode is obtained by applying a cathode active material onto aluminum foil and the anode is obtained by applying an anode active material onto copper foil; and a pair of electrode terminals for drawing electric power generated from the electrode assembly to the exterior. A terminal edge(48) of the strip-like core member comprises the aluminum or copper foil forming the cathode or anode protrudes out from any one end of the electrode assembly, and a collector(5) is installed by covering the terminal edge. The collector(5) has a plurality of arch-like protrusions(52) protruding towards the terminal edge and a plurality of vertically cut members(53). The arch-like protrusions and the vertically cut members are inserted into the terminal edge, while the arch-like protrusions are laser welded to the terminal edge and the collector is connected to any one electrode terminal.
