PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely resume reproducing contents from a state where a menu screen is displayed. SOLUTION: The information reproducing device for reproducing contents recorded in an optical disk 1 or a hard disk to display them from a display device 20 includes a menu screen display processing section 221 for stopping the reproduction of contents when a menu key is depressed during content reproduction, and displaying the menu screen from the display device 20 in place of the contents. This device further includes a resume reproduction processing section 222 for resume reproducing the suspended contents when a resume key is depressed while the menu screen is displayed from the display device 20, and displaying the resume-reproduced contents from the display device 20 in place of the menu screen.
