PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten stability (to keep activity) of an immobilization layer constituted of protein. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric element equipped with electrodes on both surfaces of a piezoelectric plate is characterized by forming the immobilization layer constituted of the protein on the electrode, and coating the immobilization layer with a hydrophilic molecular material.
