发明名称 METHOD OF PRODUCING NANO CERIA POWDER AND SINTERED MATERIALS FOR OXYGEN SENSOR PRODUCED BY NANO CERIA POWDER BY THE METHOD
摘要 A process for preparation of ceria nano-powder from cerium based salt is provided to produce the nano-powder useful for manufacturing sintered materials for oxygen sensor with excellent reaction kinetics and micro dimension and to control properties of the oxygen sensor by dissolving Ce salt in water, spraying and drying the solution to form precursor powder, and desalting the powder. The process comprises the steps of: preparing a precursor powder by spraying a Ce salt solution then drying the sprayed solution; desalting the precursor to form ceria(CeO2) powder in the presence of desired atmosphere selected from non-reduction atmosphere, inert atmosphere, oxidation atmosphere and hydrogen atmosphere in response of non-stoichiometric level of the ceria powder. The Ce based salt is Ce-nitrate. The desalting process is carried out at more than 300deg.C. The prepared ceria nano-powder is used to produce a material for oxygen sensor through sintering at 800-1100deg.C.
