PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a centralized module corresponding to each virtual storage device so that many access requests corresponding to access to each virtual storage device can be made to requests to a physical storage device handled by the centralized module to receive the access request. SOLUTION: A storage virtualization device is provided with a largest capacity charge selecting means 24 for selecting a centralized module in charge of the largest capacity of the storage regions of physical storage devices X, Y and Z corresponding to storage regions of virtual storage devices A and B between the centralized modules CM1 and CM2 and an access request destination setting means 30a for setting the centralized module selected by the largest capacity charge selecting means 24 as a centralized module to which an access request is transmitted by a storage virtualizing means 22.
