PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission device using a light emission element capable of easily dimming the intensity (modulation) of the light in a display area at low cost, and a vehicular light using the same. SOLUTION: In the light emission device, a plurality of light emission elements are mounted in a single package, and the plurality of light emission elements are classified into at least two configuration units including a first configuration unit and a second configuration unit. The brightness can be modulated in multiple stages by controlling the light emission of the light emission elements included in each configuration unit by every configuration unit.
