PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a vehicle, which suppresses the slippage of a belt when a garage shift in which shift operation is performed from a non-traveling position to a traveling position is performed when a traveling drive force source is started in a state where defective belt return occurs. SOLUTION: When a gear shift control pressure P<SB>RATIO</SB>is not filled up when the garage shift is performed in the state where a transmission belt 48 is not returned to the maximum deceleration position, a linear solenoid valve SLT is controlled by a hydraulic pressure lowering control means 170 so that the control hydraulic pressure P<SB>SLT</SB>fed to a clutch C1 for forward movement or a brake B1 for backward movement is temporarily lowered more than the hydraulic pressure according to a predetermined rule. Since the engine torque T<SB>E</SB>inputted (transmitted) to a continuously variable transmission 18 is lowered, the slippage of the belt when the garage shift is performed in the state where the transmission belt 48 is not returned to the maximum deceleration position is suppressed.
