PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device and an image forming device capable of preventing over-loading without providing an over-loading prevention member on a sheet loading means and stably feeding the sheet at low cost. SOLUTION: The over-loading prevention means 3c is provided on a stopper member 3 and when a sheet feeding means 5 is positioned at a stand-by position, the over-loading prevention means 3c is retained at a position pressure-contacted with the feedable sheet PC of the maximum loading height loaded on the sheet loading means 2.
