PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new apparatus for preparing biological samples for subsequent detection of an analyte in the biological samples, especially a nucleic acid. SOLUTION: The apparatus for isolating a nucleic acid analyte from a biological sample comprises a sample preparing apparatus (1), a sample holding apparatus (2), a first holding device (3) equipping operation temperature of≤70°C, especially≤40°C and for a sample-preparing reaction vessel, second holding devices (4a, 4b, 4c) optionally containing a cooling means and/or a heating means and for the reactor vessel, and a robot tool device (5).
