PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle which can carry biological substances in larger amounts than those of conventional particles and can solve a problem that enough biological substances could not have been carried in porous particles. SOLUTION: This rod-like particle is characterized by having meso-pores crossing the longitudinal direction of the rod-like particle and carrying a biological substance in the meso-pores.
