A plasma display panel is provided to easily pattern a discharge electrode commonly applied with a power by forming the discharge electrode with a single conductive sheet between barrier ribs. Pairs of sustain discharge electrodes are disposed in barrier ribs(203), and have X-electrodes(204) and Y-electrodes(205) for producing sustain discharge. Address electrodes(206) are disposed in discharge cells defined by the barrier ribs in a direction crossing the pairs of sustain discharge electrodes to produce addressing discharge. A phosphor layer(208) colored by various colors is formed in each discharge cell. The X-electrode is a plate-shaped electrode continuously connected to adjacent discharge cell.
