PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver and method by which a user can recognize the end of a program even during time-shift reproduction. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver includes: a video recording means (112A) for recording a digital broadcast program; a time-shift reproduction means (112B) for applying time-shift reproduction to a program during recording; and a notice means (112c) for informing the user about the end of the program subjected to the time-shift reproduction during performing the time-shift reproduction of the program.
