PROGRAM SELECTION MENU GENERATING SYSTEM, VIDEO DISTRIBUTION APPARATUS, SIGNAL CONVERTER, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby programs on a VOD menu can be selected on a broadcast EPG menu so as to enhance the convenience of program selection.

SOLUTION: A video distribution apparatus such as a VOD server generates program selection information of an SI form, and transmits the generated program selection information to a broadcast retransmission apparatus for transmitting a terrestrial digital broadcast program. The broadcast retransmission apparatus generates integrated EPG information resulting from integrating the program selection information received from the video distribution apparatus with EPG information of digital broadcasting and transmits the generated EPG information to a receiver for receiving signals distributed from both the video distribution apparatus and the broadcast retransmission apparatus.
