PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve capable of reducing the number of components by improving a valve opening adjusting mechanism. SOLUTION: A main body 10 of an expansion valve 1 has a first port 21 communicated with a receiver side and a second port 22 toward an evaporator, a valve element 40 is disposed in opposition to a port 30, and energized toward the port 30 by an energizing spring 50. The operation of a power element 60 is transmitted to an operation bar 70, and the valve element 40 is displaced through a transmitting means 100 to adjust a valve opening. The port and the valve element are disposed on an axis line of the second port, thus the main body 10 can be miniaturized, and the number of components can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
