PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle surrounding monitoring device for displaying an image whose viewpoint is an upper part of a vehicle from images of cameras for photographing the outside of the vehicle, that surely informs a user about an unphotographed obstacle of a part in the vicinity of the vehicle and clearly indicates parts at the outside of a vehicle vicinity photographing range not photographed by the cameras. SOLUTION: A vehicle upper viewpoint image forming section 21 converts the images by the cameras 2 to 5 for photographing the outside of the vehicle into the image whose viewpoint is the upper part of the vehicle. In this case, an outer edge of the vehicle vicinity photographing range existing close to the vehicle and not photographed by the cameras is indicated by a contour line. When corner sensors 6 to 9 for sensing the obstacle close to the vehicle detect the obstacle, a corner sensor obstacle detection display section 26 displays a mark denoting the detection of the obstacle on a part corresponding to the installed position of the corner sensor for sensing the obstacle or a existing position of the obstacle within the range of the contour line.
