PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective layer heat transfer sheet allowing easy transfer of the protective layer not only at ordinary temperature and ordinary humidity but in high-temperature, high-humidity circumstances. SOLUTION: The protective layer heat transfer sheet 10 has a release layer 2, a protective layer 3 and optionally a heat-sensitive adhesive layer 5, laminated at least on a part of one side of a substrate sheet 1, with the release layer 2 made of an organic/inorganic hybrid material. The release layer 2 is preferably made of a hardened organic/inorganic hybrid material. The sheet allows easy transfer of the protective layer during printing in high-temperature, high-humidity circumstances, like at ordinary temperature and ordinary humidity.
