A dish washer is provided to prevent an engaging holder from being damaged due to the load and vibration of a sump by improving the structure of the engaging holder for engaging the sump with a tub of the dish washer. A dish washer includes a tub(300), a sump(9), an engaging holder(500), and an engaging member. The tub forms a space for washing a dish. A stepped portion is horizontally formed on the bottom surface of the tub. The tub has a communication hole communicated with the exterior. The sump has an accommodation recess section in which washing water is accommodated. A positioning section is formed at an upper portion of the sump to position the stepped portion. The sump is communicated with the communication hole of the tub. One end of the engaging holder is installed in parallel direction to the upper surface of the stepped portion of the tub and the other end thereof is fixed to the sump. The engaging holder is adapted to engage the sump with the lower surface of the tub. The engaging member fixes the engaging holder to the sump.
