<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-shaped and light-weighted surface-lighting device having designable property by forming a pattern in emitted light. <P>SOLUTION: The surface-lighting device includes a light source, a light guide plate emitting light of the light source from a light emitting surface, and a patterning member arranged on the light emitting surface of the light guide plate and generating light having a regular variation of intensity. The patterning member includes at least two dot matrix patterning members, on each of which a dot matrix is formed with a pattern having a regularity on a sheet-like optical member having light transmissivity, and at least two dot matrix patterning members are laminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
