<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection sensor which can measure an object position with a sufficient accuracy over a predetermined monitoring region from the vicinity just under the sensor to a long distance. <P>SOLUTION: The monitoring region is partitioned into a plurality of monitoring compartments 11, 12 and 13 according to a distance from the object detection sensor 2, and a plurality of antennas 3, 4 and 5 which make each compartment detection extent are switched and used. The beam width of the depression angle direction of each of the antennas 3, 4 and 5 is reduced in the antenna for monitoring a far side from the installation position of the object detection sensor 2.
