PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of suitably notifying an arrival-during-absence of PTT when PTT communication automatically started in an automatic answer mode ends, and to provide a communication control method for the communication device. SOLUTION: When a record indicating information transmission from a user's own device is not included in a communication log or a record indicating an instruction input in a key input part 103 is not included in a key operation log when PTT communication started in the automatic answer mode ends, it can be judged that the user does not participate in the PTT communication at all and the user does not acknowledge the start of PTT communication, and thereby the existence of the arrival-during-absence is notified.
