PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing toner by which a toner free from mixing of coarse particles can be produced without having to use complex operations or special devices in the process of manufacturing the toner, by making resin particles aggregate. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing toner includes a step of aggregating resin particles in at least an aqueous medium, wherein at least either a polyvalent organic acid or its salt is added in the process of making the resin particles aggregate.
