PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ferrocoke, also capable of improving the ventilation property of a sintered raw material layer on a sintering pallet of a sintering machine without increasing its equipment cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the ferrocoke is characterized by mixing a raw material consisting of coal and returned ore and dry distilling. On producing the sintered ore, the sintered raw material for sintering is sieved after breaking the same for separating the same to a large particle diameter product sintered ore, a middle particle diameter returned ore and a small particle diameter returned ore, and it is preferable that the middle particle diameter returned ore is reused as the raw material for sintering, the small particle diameter returned ore as the raw material of ferrocoke; the coal and a raw material consisting mainly of an iron ore-containing material are mixed and formed, and dry distilled, and the returned ore of a small particle diameter having≤3 mm particle diameter is used as the ferrocoke raw material.
