The packing for pieces of car bodywork (16) comprises two blocks (12) of flexible, non-abrasive material with recesses (18) on their inner surfaces, into which the edges of the piece fit. The blocks can be stacked and the stack is held together by rails (24) which fit into grooves (20) on the outsides of the blocks.
