A method for production of activated peat for pelletizing of iron-ore materials involves peat production, its enclosing into a stack, maintaining during 6-12 months. Then peat ash level is determined, treatment of peat layers is carried out by an activator with mixing, stack from 4-5 layers of peat is formed, peat is maintained in a stack during 24-48 hours and is sent to the user. Before sending to the user peat humidity is determined and it is mixed up with the products of aspiration of lime or limestone production at the ratio of aspiration products of lime or limestone production and peat humidity of 1.0:(1.5-6.0) % wt. respectively.
