A pre emphasis device is provided to compensate a resonant phenomenon generated in a channel with an opposite channel characteristic and to improve a channel characteristic by including a first emphasis unit which amplifies data to be received. A pre emphasis device includes a first emphasis unit(100), a second emphasis unit(200), and a main driver(300). The first emphasis unit(100) amplifies data to be received. The second emphasis unit(200) amplifies data to be received. The main driver(300) adds the data amplified from the first and second emphasis devices(100,200). The first emphasis unit(100) uses delay cells having a negative delay to amplify the data to be received. The second emphasis unit(200) uses delay cells having a positive delay to amplify the received data. The first emphasis unit(100) has a plurality of first delay cells having the negative delay which are connected to each other in parallel, and current sinks which are operated in response to the data passing through the first delay cells. The second emphasis unit(200) has a plurality of second delay cells having the positive delay which are connected to each other in parallel, and current sinks which are operated in response to the data passing through the second delay cells.
