A head rest having a rotary wing is provided to automatically unfold the wing when an impact is applied to the wing by providing a clutch with a responding member for detecting the impact and connecting and interrupting the clutch to and from the wing. A head rest having a rotary wing includes a rotary shaft(330), a wing(360), a clutch, a locking member, and a return spring. The rotary shaft is installed in the seat body. The wing includes an outer tub surrounding the rotary shaft. The clutch is connected to and interrupted from the wing. The locking member locks the clutch to the seat body. The return spring returns the wing. A responding member for detecting an impact and connecting and interrupting the clutch to and from the wing is provided to the clutch. |
