A gas range having high thermal efficiency is provided to reduce gas consumption and the discharge amount of carbon dioxide by allowing a maximum heat to be transmitted to a vessel to be heated. A gas range having high thermal efficiency includes an upper plate(14), a support frame(13), a burner head(10), a head seating part(11), and a gas mixing part(12). A guide bar(15) is installed between the upper plate and a lower end of the gas range. The support frame is fixedly installed at the upper plate. The burner head is seated on the head seating part. A slider(16) is attached to one side of the burner. A rack gear(17) is installed at one side of the slider. A pinion gear(18) is rotatably meshed with the rack gear. A rod is connected between a knob and the pinion gear to adhere the pinion gear to the rack gear to rotatably support the rod through a separate support frame.
