A dummy bar head is provided to vary the width of the dummy bar head promptly and easily according to change of the production size of a casting slab without exchanging the dummy bar head, and can adjust the width of the dummy bar head according to change of the width of a mold without exchanging the dummy bar head. A dummy bar head comprises: a head body(110) having a hollow part(112) formed in a central inner part thereof; a pair of moving plates(120) which are installed on the head body such that the moving plates are movable in a width direction, and on which shafts are formed such that the shafts extend to the hollow part by passing through guiding parts(114) formed in both sidewalls of the head body; and a screw socket of which both ends are screwed to front ends of the respective shafts that are formed in the hollow part of the head body and extend to the hollow part so as to advance the pair of moving plates side by side. The moving plates include a horizontal part that covers an upper face of the head body to form a portion of the upper face of the head body, and a vertical part vertically extending from the horizontal part to form a portion of a side face of the dummy bar head.
