The device has a common voltage generator generating common voltages (Vcom1, Vcom2) to independently deliver the voltages to two lines of tape carrier package (TCP) cases, respectively. One of the lines of the cases is commonly connected to common voltage supply lines (118a, 118c). The other line is commonly connected to common voltage supply lines (118b, 118d). A pixel electrode forms a storage capacitor (Cst) by overlapping the pixel electrode with common lines. Chromatic filters are arranged on an upper substrate (103) and a common electrode is formed on the filters.
