APPARATUS FOR TREATING ACTIVATED SLUDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane separation activated sludge treatment apparatus capable of treating swiftly when the liquid amount of each treatment tank is abnormally increased.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating activated sludge to biologically treat the drainage to separate it into the activated sludge and treated water by the membrane suction comprises a raw water adjustment tank (2) for adjusting the liquid level of raw water in a set range, a denitrification tank (3) for denitrifying drainage, and a nitrification tank for carrying out nitrification and phosphorous storage in turn. A membrane filtration unit (5) of one or more is immersed side by side in the nitrification tank (4). The apparatus includes a control part (CP) which automatically increases the suction amount of the treated water from the membrane filtration unit (5) corresponding to its liquid-increasing rate when the liquid level in the raw water adjustment tank (2) is rapidly increased over the set range. At this time, the suction amount can also be controlled so as not to exceed the overflow height (LH) of the nitrification tank (4) at the same time.
