PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof construction of a junction box that can ensure an adhesion property of a sealing material to exert good waterproofness, even when there is an overstroke in a lock between the junction box main body and an inner member at a boot side. SOLUTION: This is a waterproof construction of a junction box 1 in which an annular mating interface 3 of an elastic boot 2 is inserted and fitted into an annular mating interface 6 of a junction box main body 5. The interface 3 of the boot 2 has an inner wall and an outer wall turned up from the inner wall, lips 27 are formed on the surfaces of the inner wall and outer wall, an annular inner member 4 is set into a clearance gap on back sides of the inner wall and the outer wall, and each lip 27 is stuck fast onto the inner surface of the interface 6 of the junction box main body 5. The lip 27 of the outer wall is shaped such that it is harder to crush than that of the inner wall. The inner member 4 is provided with a locking protrusion 18, which is made to project out of a hole 17 of the outer wall, so that it gets engaged with the catching part 14 of the junction box main body 5.
