Claimed is a process to operate a semi-automated automobile (1) parking assistance system when reversing into a roadside parking space (2). The system has an activation detector, a sensor to detect a change of direction, a further sensor to detect forward or reverse motion, and a control system linked to an actuator that sets maximum front wheel azimuth deflection in forward motion, and reverses the deflection when in reverse motion. |
