The invention relates to an improved machine for the partial machining of sofas, armchairs and similar, including a moving set of tools (1) and an automated robot (2) which are provided with mechanisms for lifting (10), pitching (20) and rolling (30), said mechanisms being fitted with measuring systems such as encoders on the rotation shafts and displacement rules for measuring vertical movement. The aforementioned mechanisms are actuated using hydraulic and pneumatic elements by means of a push button or automatically by means of an automaton. The above-mentioned tools also include a fixing mechanism (40) for fixing the frame (41) of the sofa (S), consisting of fixing clamps (42) which are actuated by pneumatic cylinders (43) and which connect a fixing frame or structure (45) that is equipped with bolts (46). Optionally the clamps (42) can be screwed to the frame (41) of the sofa (S) in order to be joined by means of bolts (46) to the upholstery tools (1) or to any other type of machine.
