DATA UPDATE DEVICE, AND DATA UPDATE METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable application to recognize that rewrite processing in asynchronous mode completes while API returns to the application suitable response responding to the success/failure of a update file in a firmware data rewrite processing of a device connected through a network communicatably.

SOLUTION: An update library requests to a device (printer) transmitting of device information, and determines whether update file 'File1' stored in an update file storing part conforms to the printer or not from the received (S21) device information; and the service returns to the application response responding to determination results of the update library (S13 and S16).
