PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control adapter that is usable for two or more devices. SOLUTION: The remote control adapter 200 includes an optical signal receiving unit 310 for receiving the optical signal transmitted from the remote controller; an analysis unit 320 for analyzing the optical signal received by the optical signal receiving unit 310; an extraction unit 330 for acquiring the ID information of the device, based on the analyzed result by the analysis unit 320; a reading unit 340 for acquiring a read-out command of the ID information stored in a memory unit 350, based on the optical signal analyzed by the analysis unit 320, and read out the ID information based on the command; a memory unit 350 for storing the ID information; and an optical signal transmission unit 360 for transmitting the optical signal, which contains the ID information, as a blinking optical signal.
