PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump device capable of performing defrosting without stopping a heating operation. SOLUTION: In a refrigerant circuit 6 provided with a compressor 1 for compressing a refrigerant, a refrigerant heat exchanger 2 exchanging heat between the compressed and heated refrigerant and a heat medium, a pressure reducing means 3 such as an expansion valve, an air heat exchanger 4 for conducting heat away from the air, and an air distribution fan 7, the air heat exchanger 4 is constituted to exchange heat by sucking the outside air by the air distribution fan 7, an electric heater 8 is disposed between the air heat exchanger 4 and the air distribution fan 7, and electric power is supplied to the electric heater 8, and the air distribution fan 7 is reversely rotated, when frost formation may be found on the air heat exchanger 4, thus the defrosting can be efficiently and surely performed, and the heating and water boiling-up operations can be continuously performed without affected by defrosting.
