<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of drastically reducing internal resistance at low temperatures, suppressing the increase of the internal resistance even in long-term storage, thereby dramatically improving input/output performance in a wide temperature range. <P>SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte battery equipped with a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains at least one kind of sulfate compound and at least one kind of phosphoric silyl ester compound; a positive electrode active material included in the positive electrode is a composite oxide Li<SB>x</SB>Mn<SB>a</SB>Ni<SB>b</SB>Co<SB>c</SB>O<SB>d</SB>(0<x<1.3, a+b+c=1, and 1.7≤d≤2.3, ¾a-b¾<0.03 and 0.33≤c<1) having a stratiform α-NaFeO<SB>2</SB>type crystal structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
