<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a material and a related method for manufacturing an intraluminal stent for providing a designer of a device with an opportunity to design the device for a specific application by engineering technologies. <P>SOLUTION: A biocompatible material can be designed as various kinds of medical devices which can be implanted, including the intraluminal stent. All the devices including the stent can be manufactured using polymeric materials. The stent can be balloon-expansible or self-expansible.
