PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent swelling of a bundle of sheets after performing a folding process, and securely deliver the sheets from a paper delivery roller part. SOLUTION: When a fold increasing process is completed (S100), rotating motion of a pair of folding rollers is stopped, a pressurization maintaining state by the pair of folding rollers is released (S101), and the number of folded paper sheets is checked (S102). When the number of folded paper sheets exceeds a predetermined number by the check in S102, it is determined that pressurization is required, and rotating motion of the folding rollers is started (S103). When a sheet bundle tip passes through a nip of a paper delivery roller by a predetermined distance (S104), the rotating motion of the pair of folding rollers is stopped (S105), and a folding plate is retreated to release the pressurization state (S106). When the number of the folded paper sheets is below the predetermined number, the rotating motion of the folding rollers is started (S107), and the folding plate is retreated to release the pressurization state (S108).
