METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SCHEDULING IN A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A scheduling method in a communication system and a system thereof are provided to determine a transmission type according to a channel state of the communication system, thereby ensuring coverage by controlling a load of the system. SINRs(Signal to Interference and Noise Ratios) of each MS are detected(301). With regards to each of all MCSs(Modulation and Coding Schemes), the number of maximum subchannels and the number of slots are calculated(303). The calculated number of the maximum slots is compared with the number of maximum slots allocable to one MS(305). If the number of the allocable slots is smaller than the calculated number of the slots, the calculated number of the slots is compared with the number of slots usable at the current scheduling time(309). Transmission types having the most information bits are determined as candidate transmission types(313).
