<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell capable of sharply improving power generation efficiency of the solid polymer fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for the solid polymer fuel cell is manufactured by generating fibrous polymer on a porous supporting body by oxidizing and polymerizing a compound having aromatic ring on the porous supporting body, generating carbon fiber on the porous supporting body by baking the fibrous polymer, and by making the carbon fiber carry metal by applying electric plating on the carbon fiber. On the electric plating, current is impressed in pulse-form, and duty ratio expressed by formula (1): duty ratio=t<SB>1</SB>/(t<SB>1</SB>+t<SB>2</SB>)×100 [in formula, t<SB>1</SB>denotes current impressing period (second), and t<SB>2</SB>denotes suspension period] is turned into 2 to 20%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
