<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinous process spacer which can be stably inserted and fixed between division surfaces of a broken spinous process although it is not made to order for each patient. <P>SOLUTION: A spinous process spacer 1, which is inserted between broken spinous processes resulting from a longitudinally broken spinous process, comprises calcium phosphate, and is shaped in approximately cylindrical form.
