<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the sense of incongruity of operation feeling, improve working efficiency and reduce a heat load of a clutch and a shift shock, by preventing a brake from being actuated unnecessarily until a final operating position is established, even if operation uncertain of the final operating position such as a shuttle operation is performed, by actuating the brake when the final operating position is established and the established operating position is opposite to the actual traveling direction, and by preventing the brake from being actuated when the established operating position is in the same direction as that before an operation start. <P>SOLUTION: The control device determines whether the present traveling direction of a vehicle body is a forward traveling direction F or a backward traveling direction R. When the selection operating position of the traveling operating lever is switched, the traveling direction position (for example, R) selected by the traveling operating lever and the determined traveling direction (for example, F) are opposite to the travel direction, and a detection vehicle body velocity is not lower than a predetermined threshold, the brake device is actuated.
