A driving apparatus of an LED(Light Emitting Diode) is provided to minimize the power loss by adjusting a voltage of variable voltage power and minimally maintaining a voltage applied to a constant current circuit applied through an LED load. A driving apparatus of an LED includes a light emitting unit(41), a switching unit(42), a constant current driving unit(43), a voltage measuring unit(44), and a variable voltage power unit(45). The light emitting unit(41) includes more than one LED which emits light according to the current. The switching unit(42) is turned on/off by applied control signals, and controls a luminance of the LED according to an on/off ratio. The constant current driving unit(43) maintains the current flowing at the LED uniformly. The voltage measuring unit(44) measures a voltage applied to the constant current driving unit(43). The variable voltage power unit(45) adjusts an output voltage, and supplies the output voltage to the LED of the light emitting unit(41). |
