PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing machine which can improve processing by performance shortening interval of conveying coins without making the machine complex. SOLUTION: The coin processing machine comprises a sorting aperture 14a formed on a passage 9a of a coin conveying section 9 for conveying coins C, a gate 15a supported on the downstream side of the sorting aperture 14a for opening and closing the sorting aperture 14a, and a parting section 13a for guiding the coins C into the inside of the sorting aperture 14a by inclining the gate 15a to open the sorting aperture 14a. The gate 15a has a guide plate 32 constituting a part of the passage when the gate 15a is closed, and a step 35 formed on the downstream side of the guide plate 32 to clear the upstream side of the coins C positioning at the downstream side of the gate 15a when the gate 15a is opened.
