<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway apparatus, an information sharing system and a method in which information can be easily shared with a communicating party, simultaneously with digital communication. <P>SOLUTION: A data session is established for performing data communication, other than audio data between networks in a communicating state by transferring audio data between IP telephones, and information to be provided, which is stored in a client PC 13 of an information-providing source network 10, is transmitted to an information-providing destination network 20 of the opposite party, in an audio data communicating state by utilizing that data session.
