ANTIREFLECTION FILM, AND POLARIZING PLATE AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE ANTIREFLECTION FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating type antireflection film suitable for mass-production, having a low reflectance and excellent stain-proof properties and scratch resistance, to provide a polarizing plate using the above antireflection film as a protective film of a polarizing film, and to provide an image display device having excellent stain-proof properties and scratch resistance of the surface and preventing reflection by using the above antireflection film or the polarizing plate as the outermost surface of the device.

SOLUTION: The antireflection film has a low refractive index layer that is formed by curing a coating solution composition comprising: a fluorine-free copolymer containing a constituent having a specified polysiloxane structure in a main chain and a constituent containing a hydroxyl group in a side chain; and a fluorine-containing copolymer. The polarizing plate uses the antireflection film as one of two protective films for a polarizing film. The image display device uses the above antireflection film or the polarizing plate in the outermost surface of the display.
