PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element of a color conversion system and a simple manufacturing method of the same capable of improving the blurring of an image and the deterioration of visibility and having display characteristics for obtaining converted light with high intensity. SOLUTION: The organic EL element includes a transparent electrode, an organic EL layer, and a reflecting electrode sequentially formed on a transparent substrate. The organic EL layer includes at least a light emitting layer, and a surface layer for forming an interface between a carrier mobile color conversion layer and the reflecting electrode. The interface of the transparent electrode and the organic EL layer is flat, and the interface between the reflecting electrode and the surface layer is uneven. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
