PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication terminal and a control method therefor, capable of reducing the processing load of a narrow-area base station, such as an access point, and a radio communication terminal.SOLUTION: A radio communication terminal 1 connectable to a wide-area base station and a narrow-area base station includes: a first speed detector unit 13 for detecting a relative speed of the radio communication terminal 1 to the wide-area base station; a second detector unit 23 for detecting a relative speed of the radio communication terminal 1 to the narrow-area base station; and a control unit 30 for controlling not to connect to the narrow-area base station, when the relative speed detected by the first speed detector unit 13 is a first predetermined threshold or larger and the relative speed detected by the second speed detector unit 23 is a second predetermined threshold or larger. |
